Good morning, dear Catherine! I'm just popping in to say thank you for the Thanksgiving wishes. That was very nice of you. When my Thursday gets here and 20 guests have gathered at my home for a feast, I will be silently giving thanks for your friendship and support this past year. Take care, dear Cat!
ReplyDeleteAww thanks Shady! and i am very thankful for having you as a reader! Enjoy your turkey feast!
DeleteOoo, I spy gingham!
ReplyDeleteI've heard that Couture Sewing Techniques is quite a good book. I just pulled one of my sewing books out of the shed, one I got at Polytech. I certainly think I need to revise some of this stuff, I've been SO lazy. Lovely to have a peek about, your Janome looks quite fancy! I have a Singer, it's their Industrial/Domestic, I got it last year, and I really like it. Have never had a Janome, nor tried one, do you like it, is it good?
XXX
yes! its really great - i have so many bookmarks in there and its so interesting to find out how a couture fashion house actually works (no sewing machines!)
DeleteDolly, my Janome got a little jazzing up with some washi tape - I've only ever used Janomes - my mum had one she bought from NZ on the boat and it still works! its a big metal 70s hunk of a thing. My one has been a bit of a pain lately but after some cuddles and a cuppa tea shes ok again.
It looks like you have lots going on! I was given the couture sewing techniques book for my birthday but I've yet to read through it properly yet x
ReplyDeleteOh you should totally read it! there are some really clever tips in there - Claire Shaeffer is like the sewing fountain of knowledge! I asked for her other book - the fabric sewing guide for christmas xo
DeleteThat's my kind of dining table! I am loving view B of that pattern - do I see a scalloped, hem, sleeves AND collar!
ReplyDeleteits fun, but so annoying when i want to cut fabric or eat dinner! And yes - that pattern is all scallops! hems, sleeves and collar!
DeleteHow exciting, I love admiring other people's storage and seeing work in process.
ReplyDeleteI've heard Janome's are great, I have a New Home, their 1960s home but it's in dire need of a service and I'm too tight! x
Yes! I'm pretty happy with my Janome. I dunno how much a service is in your town but it was $90 for me! but hey - you're going to India! Better to save your money for that :)
