So listen while I play my Green Tambourine

Today has been a rather trying day at work for me so I though we'd have a little fun this Friday to the sounds of the Lemon Pipers - Green Tambourine

Nothing too hard - just a fun little guessing game!

All you have to do is look at the pictures below of famous tambourine players and write their name in your comment

The winner will get 1 million Internet Kudos! Equivalent to 3 minutes of warm and fuzzy feelings

OK so lets get started!

Extra special bonus question!

Who is the Mr Tambourine man that inspired Bob Dylan to write the song of the same name?

Have a good weekend!

P.S The Pattie suite is complete! Photos to come soon

  1. Hi, Catherine! I love it when you decide to have a little fun, although it's going to take a little work for me to figure out who all these people are. I'm not as good at this sort of thing as you might expect.

I'm guessing that the first is Michelle Phillips.
Next, is a bloke named Richard Starkey.
    Next, the late Davy Jones.
    Next, the Stones' Brian Jones.
    Next, Beatle John.
    Next, Led Zep's Robert Plant.
Lastly, Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac.

Bonus question/answer: Folk guitarist Bruce Langhorne?

I enjoyed hearing "Green Tambourine" again. I had just turned 18 when the record became popular. It was a time when many bands and song titles referenced bright neon colors and fruit flavors. Examples included Lemon Pipers (and another of their hits "Jelly Jungle of Orange Marmalade," 1910 Fruitgum Company, Banana Splits, Strawberry Alarm Clock and Neon Rainbow.

Have a wonderful weekend, dear friend Cat!

    1. A million Internet kudos to you! You've answered them all correctly and therefor no one else has needed to comment! haha!
That's really interesting to know - about the fruit and colour reference. Kind of how in the 90s there was a lot of bands with tough sounding one word names
I hope you had a pleasant 4th of July and a good evening!

    2. Thank you very much, Cat! I did have a nice 4th. It rained hard during the day but cleared in time to view a fireworks display. By the way, I'll be accepting my Liebster Award and answering a combination of your questions and Lucy's in my July 20 post. Good night to you in Sydney, dear friend!
