Dress Dreams

This coming weekend is not only a long weekend, but its also the start of daylight savings which means lots more sunlight before and after work

Around this time every year, my sketch books and ideas lists quickly become full perhaps because of the extra light, warm weather and the increase of activity in the garden and in nature. The anticipation of summer and the festive season also provides lots of reasons to come up with fun new dresses to make.

Here are some of the dresses that are helping me with these ideas. They're also the kind I wish I could just pluck off the screen in the morning to wear and head off for the day feeling super

  2. Hello, dear Catherine! Well, you'll just have to "roll up your sleeves" and get busy making some of these outfits! It was great seeing adorable dollies like Twiggy, Marianne and Barbara in these groovy fashions and I predict they'd look fab on you. I can especially see you in that psychedelic dress coat with patent green belt. You have already proven that bright green looks great on you. Enjoy your weekend, dear friend Cat!

  4. Oh I just love all of these dresses, I really wish we could just grab them off the screen and wear them straight away. As much as I love sewing I'm also really quite impatient and sometimes I wish I could just click my fingers and make clothes appear!

Argh, I get mental with all this inspiration! No wonder my sewing mojo has gone wobbly, there's just TOO many frocks I need to make!!! I really love the tartan one with the collar and bow, that's my fave! XXX

  7. Awesomsauce! I love these styles of dresses. I' m going to be sewing up a Twiggy style dress from a sewing book that has patterns for several different stars, a few being Twiggy, Jackie O, Audrey Hepburn.
